Ok – so this is the time I hope to see input from the group. On Tuesday, March 25th there is an Augmented World Expo conference in New York. I will be moderating a panel of experts and want to ask the group if you have any burning questions to the top experts in the field of Augmented Reality, Wearable Technology and as I say BEYOND the Internet of Things.
For starters this is the latest lineup on the panel:
Dr. Steven Feiner – Columbia University – who I consider is one of the Godfathers’ of AR. Dr. Feiner has been working on AR for decades and has paved the way, through his ground-breaking research, for current day augmented successes.
Trak Lord – metaio – Hands-down Trak is one of the most knowledgeable and charismatic prognosticators in the field of AR. Trak is like metaio’s human ‘Watson.” He knows all.
John C. Haven – Founder of the H(app)athon Project, Technology Author / writer. You have probably read some of John’s article on Mashable or other big name tech media blogs. John has his finger on the pulse of wearable technology and beyond.
Dr. Ken Perlin – Director of NYU Games for Learning. Dr. Perlin won an Academy Award for Technical Achievement. Enough said! He has done some amazing work in augmeted and mixed relaity and was the founder of NYU’s Media Research Laboratory and director of NYU’s Center for Advanced Technology.
The title: The Future of AR and Its Impact on Society
So our topic is very broad but important:
What are the current trends of an Augmented World taking us? How has and will impact society and we move forward? How is wearable technology changing the landscape?
I am posting this because this is the chance to use your voice to help shape this community. This is your way of asking the important questions from the smartest people in the Augmented World.
Please feel free to share this with someone that may be interested. The event is Tuesday which is only a few days away so hurry.
Please post your question here if you have one. Thanks for helping to push technology forward in a positive direction. We hope to try and get this interview out on audio or video. TBD.
